The course is designed to prepare students for the New Jersey State High Equivalency Exam. Concentrated instruction is provided in mathematics, grammar, reading, language and art. Individualized attention is given to students for reading, writing and comprehension. Knowledge on career and income management is also given.

Due to rapid population growth, there is a need for adults to be given the opportunity to complete their studies in an adult environment at a more rapid pace. With the change in the economy and the high unemployment rate, there is an increase of competition in the job market.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be prepared to take the New Jersey State High School Equivalency Exam.

The prospective student will be required to take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), a state recognized test as indicated by the National Skills Standard Board. This will determine the student’s level of basic education in all necessary subject matter
