Certified Phlebotomy Technician
This is one health occupation in which there is extensive contact with patients. Job prospects can be very good, particularly in offices of physicians and blood banks.
The phlebotomist is a vital member of the clinical laboratory team, whose main function is to maintain patients blood specimens by venipuncture and micro collection.
This course provides phlebotomy instruction to the student resulting in a working knowledge of collecting blood. It emphasizes patient safety, quality assurance, and teaches universal and standard precautions.
After completion of this course the student will be eligible to sit for the NHA certification exam, "Certified Phlebotomy Technician, CPT".
Program cycle 120 hours; Cost $4000 - Cash payment entitles a 15% discount. A $75 non-refundable registration fee is applicable. National Health career Association (NHA) fee is billed separately.
