CNA to CHHA Conversion (Hybrid)

Once you are a Certified Nurse Aide and want to become a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), you can take a Conversion Class for 10 hours to get your CHHA License.

You will receive instruction regarding duties and roles in a transition from facilities to homes. You will get additional training about protocols to be implemented in the home-care setting. Instructional training along with clinical training will help you to have a better understanding of differences in environment.

Certified Home Health Aide is a New Jersey state licensure occupation with flexible work hours. The Certified Homemaker Home Health Aide is a very valuable member of the health care team. Dorson VTI provides high quality education hence our CHHAs are consistently placed.

Competencies Prior to Enrollment:

  • Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) licensure from NJ State, OR completed CNA course within 6 months
  • Must be able to satisfactorily read, write and comprehend English
  • Demonstrate mathematical skills
  • Valid government-issued photo ID
  • Social Security card or proof of legal work status
